Well, I had my second OB appointment yesterday. I was told that this one would be "boring" and that they would not be doing anything ultrasounds or anything. So when we got home from the airport and Josh needed to go to bed (because he had to be up for work at midnight) I said that it was fine if he missed this appointment. He wants to go to every one but I figured missing just one wasn’t a big deal so I assured him that they said nothing fun would be happening. How wrong I was!
When I got there I was told that the doctor DID want to do an ultrasound to check on the baby. Of course I was thrilled but SO sad that Josh was missing out on this first look- I knew how disappointed he would be!
Although the baby only looks like a little bean in these pictures, when I saw it on the monitor in the doctor's office you could see the heart beating. It was a tiny little white fluttering thing- amazing! She wasn’t sure if we’d be able to hear the heartbeat but she was going to try. She said there was a small chance of hearing it since I am thin (I guess the thinner you are the less other stuff gets in the way). We heard it! The doctor said that the heartbeat was "perfect" (her exact words) and it sounded so loud and strong!
(Oh and I love that the doctor pointed out my squished bladder in the pics...LOL)
She promised to do another ultrasound at the next appointment for Josh so we will have another photo in 4 weeks!

I have the same picture of my bean too! Jon wasn't able to go with me, and I had no idea I would be getting one either. Jackson was with me which was a little awkward and ok at the same time, he got to see the heart beat and was so proud of his little baby!! I see they changed your due date, you are a little further along then you thought huh? Hope you are feeling good!
They didn't change the due date as far as I know? Is there something in the numbers on the photo that says that?
Your baby clicker on your page went from 7 weeks to 9 or something, that's why I thought it may have changed, maybe it was just a glitch in the clicker thingy!!
I don't know but the ticker IS correct, I'm 10 weeks pregnant now :)
Sometimes my computer doesn't refresh I think that is what happened...So I guess you are having a New Years baby or around there, right? How exciting!!
