Finally!

I title this "Finally!" for two reasons:

The first reason is because I've been hounded for some time now, by everyone, to post pictures of my growing belly. Although I love my bump, and in general I think baby bumps are super cute, I have been surprisingly shy about showing pictures of mine. I know you are all curious though so I gave in today and took these two shots myself...in the baby's room actually. I am about 16.5 weeks and a LOT bigger than I imagined, though I still haven't gained ANY weight. I am working on that though, trying to pad my diet with more nutrient rich foods with good fats, like avocados, olive oil and nuts. I'm also drinking Naked brand juice smoothies more often with meals to add healthy calories. So hopefully by my next OB appt on Tuesday I will have added a half pound or so. We'll see....

I also say Finally! because I have been searching high and low for a cute, but affordable, pair of pregnancy jeans. Nothing against Old Navy or Gap but their jeans just do not fit me right and, at the other extreme, I refuse to pay over $200 for a pair of jeans that I won't be able to wear this time next year. And don't even get me started on Target...the smallest size they had was a 6 and although I know a 6 IS small I wear a 1...so a 6 just doesn't cut it. So anyway, to the good news. I decided to look on ebay and I found a pair of Seven for All Mankind maternity jeans, size 25/1, for $70!!! The girl selling them actually only lives about 45 minutes from us so they were shipped here in a day and, thank the Lord, they fit PERFECTLY! Like they were made just for me, even the length was just right! My search is over. What a happy day!
