My birthday was great! My mom was in town so that made it even more special. Josh had been up late studying the night before so in the morning my mom and leah and I went out and picked up breakfast (in our pajamas!): Chai teas (smoothie for leah), breakfast sandwiches, pastries and donuts. It was all delicious! We set the food up on Leah’s play table and we all ate there, it was really cute! After breakfast we went outside to fly the kite I had bought Leah the other day (it’s been really windy). I don’t think I’ve flown a kite in over 20 years but it was so windy that it pretty much flew itself! Leah was even doing it, all by herself! At one point she was even laying down on the grass and watching it fly over her.
Every year Josh and Leah go out to pick up dinner and a cake for my birthday but this year, at the last minute, she decided that she wanted me and my mom to go too. So we all piled into the jeep! The Thai restaurant is right next door to a great cupcake place so I picked up the food while Leah helped my mom and Josh pick out some cupcakes. We ate dinner, cupakes and, after Leah went to bed, had champagne while watching The Amazing Race. It was a great day!
Josh had been asking me for a few weeks for some gift ideas but I didn't really didn't know so a few days before my birthday he suggested running clothes so I went out this week and picked up a few things! Yay for shopping!
