Counting down the days...

In less than a week I will be in FL and I am so happy! This past week has been pretty good. Josh and I had a really nice date night on Sunday. We drove into Detroit to the MGM Grand and had dinner at a restaurant called Bourbon Steak. It was delicious! AND the bartender even made me a special little fruity “drink”! The server said that his wife is pregnant too and the bartenders are all “classically trained”- whatever that means- and they love to experiment with non-alcoholic drinks with all of the fresh fruit purees that they make in the restaurant. They made me a tropical tasting drink with what seemed to be orange, pineapple, mango and papaya with some soda water- it was perfect! Plus, we were practically sharing a table with a bunch of Detroit Lion’s players. So that was really cool to have them so close- they had just won their game apparently and were celebrating.

We still continue to receive lots of gifts in the mail for Leah and we are so thankful for everyone’s generosity! She is getting spoiled very quickly and she is not even here yet! I also broke down and bought her a few outfits earlier in the week- they were so cute and on sale, I couldn't’t resist! Oh, and she has been SO active lately! I even called the doctor to make sure there is no such thing as "too much" fetal activity!!! She has been bumping around like crazy, especially when I'm trying to fall asleep at night!

This morning Josh became a hero for a little baby kitten! He was working when he heard a faint, sad little meowing from the bushes (it's 50 degrees and windy and raining today) and he found a tiny little baby kitten! He said it fit in the palm of his hand and it was soaking wet and had leaves and little sticks stuck in it's hair and it was crying!! S o he took it into a nearby restaurant and they called the Humane Society. One of the waitresses wanted to keep it, so hopefully it has a good home now, but I guess it's too small to eat or drink so she will have to feed it with an eye dropper. He said everyone was watching him from the windows while he was crawling in the bushes to get it- I guess they were all wondering what the heck is this guy doing....is there some criminal in there??? and then he emerges with the little gray kitten in his palm! aww!!!! What a guy!!
